EARLY CASE ASSESSMENT

Understand the Decision Before Choosing the Next Step

Tax matters are often decided through written material. An early review helps identify what is disputed, which deadline controls the next action and what evidence is likely to matter before a response is prepared.

The exact enquiry or decision and the deadline stated in it
The factual and legal issues that are actually disputed
The documents and explanations that support the requested outcome
Whether a response, reconsideration, appeal or separate respite request should be assessed
HOW WE WORK

A Focused Route Through the Tax Matter

1. Review the decision and timing

We identify the current procedural stage, stated deadline, disputed issues and any immediate risks.

2. Build the position and evidence

We organise the relevant facts, arguments, calculations and supporting documents around the requested change.

3. Prepare the agreed next action

We prepare the response, reconsideration request, appeal or other agreed work and address the next stage within scope.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common Questions About Skatteverket Matters

What should I send for an initial assessment?

Send the enquiry, proposed decision or final decision, including its attachments and stated deadline, together with a short explanation of what you dispute.

What is the difference between reconsideration and an appeal?

A reconsideration request asks Skatteverket to review its decision. An appeal seeks review by the Administrative Court, although the appeal is first submitted to Skatteverket.

Do I still have to pay while a decision is challenged?

A reconsideration request or appeal does not by itself suspend the payment stated in the decision. Payment respite is handled through a separate application and depends on the matter.

Can you help before a final decision is issued?

Yes. Support may include reviewing an enquiry or proposed decision, organising the relevant documents and preparing a written response before Skatteverket completes its assessment.

Do you assist international clients?

Yes. We can assess matters involving a Swedish tax decision, Swedish business activity or another clear connection to Sweden, subject to the case and agreed scope.
